Step 6 - Log into the course selection website

Log into our course selection website using your Waterloo userid (for example, rtgosling) and password and follow the directions. You will need 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete your course selection. The website will open in mid-June and close a week after opening.

BUSINESS ADMIN/CS DOUBLE DEGREE
(BBA/BCS) 

1. The standard Computer Science course is CS 135.  If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145, MATH 147).

3. You will be taking a communication course in the winter 2025 term. You will need to answer a series of diagnostic questions to help you determine which course is best suited for your first communication course. 

4. You will be automatically enrolled in BUS 111W and ECON 120W.

5. The co-op sequence will be chosen for Waterloo-based students (SEQ 5DD).

BUSINESS ADMIN/MATH DOUBLE DEGREE
(BBA/BMath)

1. The standard Computer Science course is CS 115.  If you are interested, you can choose to take CS 135 or if you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145, MATH 147).

3. You will be taking a communication course in the winter 2025 term. You will need to answer a series of diagnostic questions to help you determine which course is best suited for your first communication course. 

4. You will be automatically enrolled in BUS 111W and ECON 120W.

5. The co-op sequence will be chosen for Waterloo-based students (SEQ 5DD).

COMPUTER SCIENCE

1. The standard Computer Science course is CS 135.  If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147).

You will need to answer a series of diagnostic questions to help you determine which course is best suited for your first communication course. You will be making a choice of two communication courses here.  We will place you into one of these courses for the fall term.

4. Select a non-mathematics course of your choice for the fall making sure to check the 1A and 2A plans charts to help with your non-mathematics course selection.

5. Students admitted to the co-op program must select a sequence SEQ course on a first-come-first-served basis. 

COMPUTING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
(CFM)  

1. The standard Computer Science course is CS 135. If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147).

3. You will automatically be enrolled in CFM 101 and AFM 132.

4. You will automatically be placed into your co-op sequence  (SEQ 1).

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS AND RISK MANAGEMENT
(FARM) 

1. Select your Computer Science course (CS 115 or CS 135). If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147). 

3. You will be taking a communication course in the fall term. You will need to answer a series of diagnostic questions to help you determine which course is best suited for your first communication course. You will be making a choice of two communication courses here. We will place you into one of these courses for the fall term.

4. You will automatically be enrolled in COMM 101.

5. You will automatically be placed into your co-op sequence  (SEQ 1).

MATHEMATICS 

1. Select your Computer Science course (CS 115, or CS 135). If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147).

MATH/BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
(Math/BusAdmin) 

1. Select your Computer Science course (CS 115, or CS 135). If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147).

You will be making a choice of two communication courses here. We will place you into one of these courses for the fall term.

4. Choose a non-mathematics course from one of BUS 111W, ECON 101, 102 or AFM 101.

5. Students admitted to the co-op program must select a sequence SEQ course on a first-come-first-served basis. 

CHARTERED PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANCY 
(Math/CPA)

1. Select your Computer Science course (CS 115, or CS 135). If you are interested and you qualify, you may want to take the advanced CS course (CS 145).

2. Select your Algebra (MATH 135) and Calculus (MATH 137) course. Indicate your interest (if applicable) in any of the advanced courses (MATH 145 and/or MATH 147).

3. You will automatically be enrolled in AFM 111 and AFM 191.

4. You will automatically be placed into your co-op sequence (SEQ 6CA).
