Welcome to the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo!

We are excited that you chose Math, Waterloo and Canada to continue your educational journey. We have students coming to us from over 80 countries around the world and we look forward to your personal contributions to our classrooms, community, and campus.

We recognise that our international students face challenges that are unique to this population and we want you to know that we are here to help and there are several ways we can support you through your time here at Waterloo.

Our International Student Experience team and Student Success Office are great resources.

There are also resources that are available to you throughout your time here at Waterloo. They include immigration consulting, study skills workshops, English conversation circles, student leadership programs and tutor connect to name a few.

The Faculty of Mathematics also has an Academic Advisor, International dedicated to supporting first-year international students in the Faculty of Mathematics.

We wish you all the best as you make preparations to leave your home community and begin the next step in your education. We are here to assist you through this transition.
