Optometry research on robotics wins Graham Seed Fund

Congratulations to Drs. Ben Thompson, Lisa Christian, and Marlee Spafford of the School of Optometry, along with Kerstin Dautenhahan of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This team of interdisciplinary collaborators have been awarded $25k from the Graham Seed Fund for their vision robotics research.

This research is to “develop a social robot that can enhance amblyopia health literacy among pediatric patients and their caregivers,” says Dr. Ben Thompson, a University Research Chair and professor in the School of Optometry and Vision Science. “The project emphasises patient and caregiver collaboration and interdisciplinary research."
