Dr. Shalhoub was born and raised in Tecumseh, Ontario. She graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2015 and then completed a residency in pediatrics and vision therapy at Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. During her four years as an assistant professor at SCO, she served in the pediatric and vision therapy clinics and taught first and second-year students in the pre-clinical labs.
During her time in Memphis, Dr. Shalhoub developed a passion for community outreach and mentorship, mainly with at-risk and troubled teenagers. She looks forward to finding opportunities to get involved in the community and to exploring Waterloo Region.
