Mera completed her first co-op work term at a community pharmacy, Pond Mills Medical Pharmacy in London, Ontario, where she had previously worked as a Pharmacy Assistant. During her term, she processed prescriptions, prepared medications, managed inventory, communicated with patients and supported the pharmacy team. Returning as a pharmacy student allowed her to take on new responsibilities while applying her academic knowledge to real patient care situations.
