The School of Pharmacy acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. The University of Waterloo is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River.
The University of Waterloo’s active work toward reconciliation takes place through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
At the School, we have developed a dedicated application stream for First Nations, Inuit, and Metis applicants. In addition, we are undergoing a process of integrating Indigenous elements into our curriculum, engaging in employee training, and recruiting and supporting Indigenous applicants and faculty and staff.
