School of Pharmacy Starts the Fall Term with a Welcome BBQ

On Friday, September 23, Waterloo Pharmacy welcomed back its students with a BBQ to kick off the start of a new school year. For the first time since covid, more than 300 students, staff and faculty joined together for an outdoor lunch. Members of the school’s community gathered to enjoy food, play games, take pictures, and reconnect with classmates here at the School of Pharmacy in downtown Kitchener.

“Celebrating the return of students to campus after so many terms online was incredibly rewarding. It was great to have so many PharmD student, graduate students, faculty, and staff enjoying each others company” says Andrea Edginton, Hallman Director of the School of Pharmacy. “At the School, we strongly value community and seeing so many joyful faces at the barbeque helped reinforce just how special our community is. Thank you to the University for sponsoring this event on our satellite campus and making this possible.”
