This past weekend the University of Waterloo hosted its Fall 2022 Open House. Waterloo Pharmacy was on main campus to connect with and answer questions from prospective students for the PharmD program.

“This event provided us with an invaluable opportunity to connect with prospective students and share why Waterloo’s PharmD program is unique and exceptional. It was inspiring to meet so many future pharmacists and we are excited at the prospect of them joining us in the near future!” says Becky Ewan, academic advisor & undergraduate coordinator at the School.

In addition, Waterloo Pharmacy opened its doors and welcomed future PharmD students (and parents) to tour the building.

From the building’s history to lab tours, attendees learned about what makes Waterloo Pharmacy unique and what a future education will entail. Current students ran the tours and answered questions from program requirements to what a typical day as a Waterloo Pharmacy student looks like.

There are so many opportunities in this growing field - from community and hospital pharmacy to tech and beyond.
