Waterloo Pharmacy hosts Speed Networking Night
Supporting student leadership through alumni connections
Waterloo Pharmacy designed a Speed Networking Night to bring together our third-year class with pharmacy alumni to support student leadership learning and development through relationship building.
A total of 150 participants attended, 13 alumni and four guest pharmacists from the Niagara Pharmacist Association and 119 students. Small groups of students engaged in conversation with pharmacists about their career journey post-graduation, from traditional pharmacy roles to entrepreneurship.
This event supports the School’s newly developed PHARM391 leadership development seminar course.
“The course was designed with the key principle that anyone can lead regardless of background, position, or title. The addition of a Speed Networking Event to the leadership course this year aligns with our belief that leadership development requires many teachers from whom students can learn and interact,” Kaitlin Bynkoski says, director of admissions & undergraduate affairs.
Thank you all who participated.
