On Thursday, January 10, 2013 the class of 2016 was welcomed into the pharmacy profession at the traditional White Coat Ceremony. Students, joined by their family and friends, heard from members of the university and the professional pharmacy community. Marcus Walz , Society of Pharmacy Students’ president, and Heather Foley representing Waterloo Pharmacy alumni also provided words of welcome and encouragement. During the ceremony, the 120 members of the class received their white lab coats which are symbolic of the tremendous responsibility that pharmacist have as health care providers.
