Welcome class of Rx2028 and graduate students

The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy welcomed its newest cohort of PharmD students today, the class of Rx2028. The new class spent the morning attending orientation where students heard all about the School’s history, the pharmacy profession and what their future at Waterloo Pharmacy holds.

The Waterloo Pharmacy PharmD program takes students beyond the prescription and amplifies their confidence in providing exceptional patient care. Students will get to experience on average more than 30 weeks of pharmacy experience compared to other pharmacy programs in Canada, a total of 72 weeks of work-integrated learning by graduation in 3.6 years, with three competitively paid co-op placements. Our newest cohort after their time at Waterloo Pharmacy will be practice-ready pharmacists who meet or exceed professional standards.

We also welcomed our newest graduate students starting this term:

  • Henry Abanum (MSc)

  • Cherry Chan (MSc)

  • Luna Deker (MSc)
