About Lisa

Picture of Lisa Mclean
Lisa McLean was the Senior Lab Demonstrator in the Professional Practice Laboratory at the School of Pharmacy.  She was hired in the spring of 2008, shortly after the first class of students began their pharmacy education at the University of Waterloo and had the opportunity to teach and mentor every student who graduated from the Pharmacy program.  From the beginning, she was a constant source of support and encouragement for our students.  She was passionate about teaching and committed to ensuring that every student reached his or her full potential as a pharmacist and health care professional.  Lisa touched all of us on a daily basis with her positive attitude and infectious laugh.  She will be greatly missed by all faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the School of Pharmacy.

The Lisa McLean Professional Practice Award

Lisa’s joyful spirit, capacity to nurture and her memory are being honoured with the creation of a special award that will provide financial support to a Waterloo Pharmacy student. The Lisa McLean Professional Practice Award will be given to a student in the pharmacy program who has demonstrated excellence in the professional practice sequence of the curriculum and active involvement in professional activities as a pharmacy student.
