Local Projecting Mode 

How to select the local projecting mode  

  • Tap on the screen to turn on the Crestron Machine. 

  • Choose either “JUST LOCAL duo image” or “JUST LOCAL”.  

How to Connect DocCam, PC (Nexus machine in the room), and Laptop with Crestron 

  • Choose “DocCam” in the scroll bar. Depending on the service, the labels of Projector Image left, Projector Image right, Preview Monitor, and Classroom sound have check marks:   

    • Projector Image Left: the screen is projected via the left projector of the audience view. 

    • Projector Image Right: the screen is projected via the right projector of the audience view. 

    • Preview Monitor: the image/screen is shown in the classroom PC (Nexus machine).  

    • Classroom sound: the sound of the device is enabled/disabled here.  

  • Click “Send” to enable/disable the connection.

  • If you wish to disconnect any option:  

    • Click the desired option. 

    • Click “Send” to enable/disable the connection. 

  • If one wants to project from a laptop using the Crestron machine, connect it to the Crestron using the USB and HDMI cables. The process of accessing a laptop is the same as DocCam, and the option can be found under the scroll bar. 

  • Note that the sound is connected via the label on the scroll bar, while the camera is connected via the USB.  

  • For room PHR 1012 only, the projected image and audio can optionally be switched using the USB port instead of Crestron machine.  

How to Access Microphone settings 

  • In the scroll bar, click “Mic” to view the Microphones setting.  

  • The “Goose Mic” and “Wireless Microphone” are automatically muted, to enable it, click “Muted”.  

  • To enable/disable student microphones, go to “STUDENT MIC”. 

  •  click either “Enable” or “Disable”.  

How to Access Stage Camera settings 

  • In the scroll bar, click “Stage Camera” to view the camera settings.  

  • There are four options and a virtual controller to move the camera around.  

  • To manually adjust the camera, use the controller.  

  • To zoom in or zoom out, use the “+” or “-“ symbols.  

  • To avoid being recorded by the camera, click “Privacy”.  

  • To focus on the speaker, click “Podium”.  

  • To capture the whole front view, click “Wide Front Shot”.  

  • To focus on the whiteboard, click “White board”.  

How to Adjust the Lights and Blinds  

  • In the scroll bar, click “Lights” to view the lights settings.  

  • To have the blind opened or closed, click “Blinds UP” or “Blinds DOWN”.  

  • To adjust the light strength, choose “Presentation”, “LOW”, “MEDIUM”, or “HIGH”.  

How to Record a Lesson or Meeting 

  • For Microsoft Teams:  

    • Choose “More actions”, represented by 3 small dots  

    • Click “Start recording”.   

    • To enable live captions, choose “Turn on live captions”.  

    • Everyone in the meeting will be notified that the meeting is being recorded.  

  • To stop recording, choose “More actions”, repesented by 3 small dots, then click “Stop recording”.  

  • The recordings are then processed and saved to:  

    • SharePoint if the meeting was held in the teams channel.  

    • OneDrive if it was any other type of meeting.  

    • The recordings will show up in the meeting chat or meeting channel after being stopped. For guests and external attendees, the recording is only available if it is explicitly shared with them.  

How to Turn off the Projecting Screens  

  • In the scroll bar, click “Off” to view the “System Power Off” screen.  

  • Click “Yes”.
