Biography

Elena graduated from Waterloo's School of Pharmacy in 2015, the first cohort to earn entry-to-practice PharmD designation. During her time at Waterloo, she co-founded the peer-to-peer support mentorship club "RxPRN - Pharmacy Peer Relief Network". They have since practiced in a variety of settings within the community including retail, family health team and currently within a specialty endocrine clinic pharmacy.

Mentorship has been a main focal point throughout Elena's career. They were appointed by the OCP (Ontario College of Pharmacists) as a PACE (Practice Assessment of Competency at Entry) Assessor and Coach from 2017 to 2020. Elena has been a Quality Assurance Coach and Assessor at OCP since 2019. She became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2020. Elena has been a mentor for numerous students through co-op and as a Clinical Preceptor since 2016 and is thrilled to take on the role of Regional Clinical Coordinator for the London/Rural region in 2023.

Elena continues to push for inclusive health care by advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ health, recognizing diversity and making changes in her practice to ensure equity for those living with disabilities.
