Regional Clinical Coordinator for Windsor/Essex County and Sarnia, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor
Biography
Alex graduated from the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2018. Since then, she has been working as a Clinical Pharmacist at Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH). Her interest in teaching came from working as a pharmacist on the Clinical Teaching Unit (Internal Medicine) at WRH. She works daily with medical residents and students as well as precepting pharmacy students and residents. Her other areas of practice in the hospital include Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, Infectious Diseases and Emergency Medicine. She is also part of a team of Pharmacists that are ACLS certified who attend codes at WRH to assist with medication administration.
Alex is currently a preceptor for Pharmacy residents on the General Medicine, Internal Medicine and Teaching rotations at WRH. She is also a clinical preceptor for the University of Waterloo and University of Toronto pharmacy students. Alex served as a member of the Windsor/Essex Hospitals Formulary Subcommittee of the P&T Committee from 2020-2021.
Alex is very much looking forward to her new role as the Regional Clinical Coordinator for Windsor/Essex/Chatham/Sarnia and working along side pharmacy preceptors and students in this area.
