Allison Slater
Biography
Allison Slater is an alumnus of the School of Pharmacy, completing both her BSc Pharmacy (Rx2014) and her PharmD (2018, bridging program) at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Slater has been teaching in the PharmD program since 2016, serving as a teaching assistant and later as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, until assuming the role of Assistant Professor in 2024. She teaches in various professional practice courses and coordinates the fourth-year Symposium course.
In addition to her teaching, Dr. Slater contributes to the ongoing evolution and implementation of the PharmD program as the Assistant Director of Curriculum. Dr. Slater also leads the Women in Pharmacy Leadership Program, and is passionate about recognizing and supporting women in the profession of pharmacy.
She is an active community pharmacist, practicing in Norfolk County, a rural area in southwestern Ontario.
