How to use the wall plates

Using the wall plates 

For laptops | For the built-in PC | Pic mute | How to shut down

  •  Turn the projector on by pressing the “On” button, located on the "Display" panel.

  • On the centre panel, press the "PC" button if you intend to use the built-in computer.

  • On the centre panel, press "Wall Plate" if you intend to use a laptop.

For laptops  

  • Make sure the laptop is connected properly to the Wall Plate.

    • On the centre panel, press "Wall Plate" if you intend to use a laptop. 

  • Connect the laptop to the HDMI and audio ports.

  • Ensure that your laptop is set to output video to an external monitor. This can be done on a Windows machine by pressing Windows key + P 

For the built-in PC  

  • Ensure that a USB Mouse and keyboard are connected to the wall plate. In room 2009, the mouse and keyboard can be found inside the drawer of the podium. 

  • On the centre panel, press the "PC" button if you intend to use the built-in computer.

Pic Mute 

  • Pic Mute can be used to quickly turn the projection off and on again without powering off the actual projector. 

  • Tap "Pic Mute" to turn the screen off. 

  • Tap "Pic Mute" again to turn the screen on again.  

Shut Down

  • To shut down the projector simply hold down the "Off" button on the "Display" panel until the Projector enters shut down mode. It may take a few minutes to fully power off.  

  • It is recommended to leave the built-in PC on so that it is easier for the next person to use it.
