River running through a gold, yellow and green forest along the Walter Bean Trail.

The Marguerite Ormston trailway - Walter Bean Trail in the autumn.

The Marguerite Ormston hike is a wonderful outing that provides nice views of the Grand River and Schneider Creek (in February, it doesn’t look quite as nice as the picture). The walk is approx. 7km through well-marked trails. For the most part, the trail is flat and easy, however, there a couple of fairly steep hills and a few rough areas along the path. Depending on the weather and ground cover, hikers should consider good boots, icers and poles. Count on a walk of 1 ½ to 2 hrs. Your hike leader will be Howard Armitage.
