Soo Jeon

Associate Professor

Professor Soo Jeon
Professor Soo Jeon is a member of the Automation & Controls group in Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering. His research lies in the area of design and control of mechatronic systems.

He is currently collaborating with Prof. William Melek and Prof. Dana Kulic on a project titled, “Task-Relevant Perception and Control for Human-Oriented Operation of Mobile Manipulators in Semi-Structured Environments,” where they aim to empower mobile manipulators to operate autonomously in industrial sites (such as warehouses and smart factories) side-by-side with humans, safely and efficiently. Dr. Jeon and his team are taking an extraordinary advantage of the various robotic platforms, as well as the state-of-the-art test equipment, available at the RoboHub.

See Professor Jeon's faculty profile for more details about his work outside of the RoboHub.
