As someone who is just going into grade 11 I’ve been told by quite a few people that it’s too soon for me to look into university, but is it? Looking into the university of your interest isn’t something you have to wait until grade 12 to do or until you’re about to apply. Waiting until you’re in grade 12 might be too late. I feel like looking into university is something you should be doing before you reach grade 12 so you know to take the right pre-requisite courses in grade 11. Along with gathering information from the university’s website, I’ve also gone to family members who have attended university, along with friends who are also looking into university programs. It’s a great way for me to go over my ideas with them as well as start to build a base of information about university studies for me to later expand on with more research. If you’re thinking about looking into university but are unsure when to start, try checking the university’s website now so you’re doing research as soon as you can, to feel better prepared when it comes to application time.
