Final Exam Viewing

At the beginning of each term, we will hold final exam viewing sessions for AFM, SFM and CFM courses to respond to students' requests of viewing their exams from the previous term.

Specific dates and times will be made available for viewings and can be booked via the link at the bottom of this page. New dates and times for each term will be accessible for booking by the end of the first week of classes.

For Students

Please review the below information prior to booking a viewing:

  • Each booking request is a half hour time slot to review one exam. If you would like to review exams for multiple courses, you must submit a separate booking request for each course.
  • Please bring your WATcard or other photo ID to review your exam. You will not be allowed to view your exam without showing your ID.
  • The exam review will be performed under supervision. You will be asked to set all belongings aside, you cannot take notes of content from the exam paper, photograph content from the exam paper or leave the room with the exam materials. Calculators will be provided during the review process.  Phones and laptops will not be permitted in any way.
  • The exam review does not need to result in a regrade request.  It is acceptable to just want to review the exam to see where you went wrong, etc.
  • If you submit a regrade request, the instructor has the right to look beyond the specific regrade request and review/regrade your whole exam. This may result in either an increase or decrease in grade, or no change at all to your overall exam grade.
  • Some instructors provide a marking key during the exam review; others do not. Some instructors may only want to provide one answer key -- this means that if others are requesting to view an exam for the same course, you may need to wait for the answer key, if needed.
  • The person supervising the exam review is unable to provide any information regarding the marking scheme or possible answers. Any questions you have will need to be addressed in a regrade request.
  • You will be given 30 minutes for review at which time you will need to decide if you wish to submit a request to have your exam regraded. If you have any concerns about the marking, you will need to document those concerns in the formal Regrade Request Form, which will be provided at the time of review.  You are advised to be as clear and concise as possible when describing the need for an exam regrade. It is not enough to say, “the markers missed some marks”, or “I think I should get more marks”. Be specific in identifying where you think marks were missed.
