SAFAA Device Setup

SAFAA Interview introductory screen: KIRA Academic provides the platform for the SAFAA online Interview (part 1) of the SAFAA.

  1. You'll need to Register before you begin the practice session(s) or your formal SAFAA Interview.

Step #1: KIRA Academic platform will guide you through your Device Setup. 

  1. Avoid using Incognito/Private Browsing mode
  2. Using Chrome (version 44 or higher), Firefox (version 40 or higher) or Safari (version 8 or higher) on a Mac/PC or laptop works best. Other browsers may be unpredictable.

SAFAA Device Setup will double check the strength of your internet connection to ensure smooth recording of your SAFAA interview (part 1).

Allow access to your device webcam and microphone as part of the SAFAA Device Setup process. You'll have an opportunity to record video and audio sample to check that your device is working before proceeding to the next step.

Step #2: You can access the practice session as many times as you would like to polish your interview and communication skills before moving onto the formal SAFAA Interview questions. The questions you'll receive during your practice session(s) will be the same questions for your formal SAFAA Interview.

You'll have the opportunity to review your practice response before moving onto the next practice question. NOTE: You will not have the opportunity to review your answer for the formal SAFAA Interview.

You can do the practice session as many times as you wish. You can leave the practice session and come back to it again, by clicking the “CHECK IN” button at the bottom of Your SAFAA Links email and clicking on the “PRACTICE AGAIN” link.

NOTE: If you intend to continue practicing, DO NOT CLICK THE “START INTERVIEW” BUTTON.

You can practice as many times as you would like, but will only have one opportunity to answer your AFMAA interview questions. Begin the AFMAA interview when you feel you're ready.
