Pamela is a sought-after speaker on the topics of leadership, transformation and sustainability. In 2019, Pamela was honored as Canada's CFO of the Year for her work in helping turn around the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) from a $14B deficit to a surplus almost ten years ahead of plan, in addition to her contributions to the profession and her community. Pamela is an experienced CFO, executive and board director. She is a founding member of the Accounting for Sustainability CFO Leadership Network in Canada and a founding advisory board member of the Institute for Sustainable Finance. She was named a Fellow of the profession in 2016 for her achievements and contributions in her career and in the community, and exceptional service to the profession. She sits on the Toronto Investment Board and the board of Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto.
In addition to her role on the SAF Advisory Council and our Communications Sub-Committee, Pamela generously gives her time to the School through being a guest speaker for many classes and dedicates time to support SAF students through mentorship opportunities including being an Honouree in the SAF Fellowship Program. Pamela was named the SAF’s Alumni Achievement Award winner in 2020.
