Shana de Hernandez

Shana is a former Partner with PwC and served the Firm in various capacities. She was elected in 2017 and in 2021 as a member of the Global Board of PwC International Limited, overseeing the Firm’s Network Leadership Team and its more than 350,000 professionals. Shana chaired the Board of PwC Europe, which oversees the PwC practices in Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Turkey. Previously, she was the signing audit partner for major publicly-listed multinational organisations. In her previous role, she led the PwC Global relationships with Heineken and Ahold Delhaize.    

Shana was PwC’s European head of the Retail and Consumer sector, and currently is involved in the firm’s thought-leadership in the Consumer Markets sector. Shana began her career with PwC in 1994 and has worked with PwC throughout Canada, Cuba, the US and the Netherlands.  

Shana is also hugely passionate about helping to empower the next generation. She has been the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for the International School of Amsterdam (2013-2016) and is a member of the Young Professionals Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.  

Shana graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Accounting) degree in 1997 and a Masters of Accounting in 1998. She holds designations as Chartered Professional Accountant (Ontario), Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and Registered Accountant (Netherlands).
