Welcome: From Waterloo Centre for Taxation in a Global Economy Panel 1: “Embracing Generative Artificial Intelligence in Tax Teaching” Dan Rogozynski, University of Waterloo As generative artificial intelligence continues to evolve, tax pedagogy will also need to evolve. How are tax educators embracing the use of generative artificial intelligence in their tax teaching? This panel of educators will offer commentary and insight on their experiences using generative artificial intelligence to support their tax teaching to further learning outcomes. Panel 2: “Restricting the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Tax Teaching” Andrea Stupino, CPA Canada and York University Generative artificial intelligence may not help to support desired learning outcomes in tax, so in this contrasting panel, tax educators who have restricted the use of generative artificial intelligence in their tax teaching will offer commentary and insight on their practices, including discussions on assessment design to counter the use of generative artificial intelligence. |
