2024 Sustainability Survey

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2024 Sustainability Survey for the University of Waterloo.

Results from the survey will be used to help shape Waterloo’s sustainability directions by gauging current perceptions and knowledge about sustainability on campus, priorities for the campus community, satisfaction with existing efforts, as well as identifying opportunities for growth. Future surveys will continue to gauge progress, priorities and potential.

To encourage your honest feedback, the survey is fully confidential. Responses will only be disclosed in aggregate in ways that no individual can be identified.

After you submit the survey, you can choose to enter the 2024 Sustainability Survey Prize Draw for a chance to win:

One (1) of two (2) $50 WatCard top ups ($50.00 retail value)

Please note that you must submit the survey by Friday, October 11, 2024 at 5pm ET to be entered into the prize draw.

Participating in the survey is completely voluntary, and you may choose to not answer any question. Although the survey can be completed anonymously, personal contact information (name and email address) must be provided if you choose to participate in the prize draw. If you choose to enter the prize draw, you will be redirected to a separate form to enter your contact information, which will be stored separately from the survey to maintain confidentiality and only used by the Sustainability Office to contact prize winners.

This survey includes questions pertaining to age and gender. As with all other questions in this survey, it is entirely up to you to choose whether you want to answer these or not. We are interested in better understanding whether and how age and gender are linked to experiences with sustainability on campus.

You will be completing the survey by an online survey operated by Qualtrics. Qualtrics has implemented technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect the information provided via the Services from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet transmission is ever fully secure or error free.
