Climate Action in Canadian Municipalities: Research Opportunities with Open Access Database

Join the Waterloo Climate Institute and the Municipal Net-Zero Action Research Partnership (N-ZAP) for a webinar about the state of climate action in Canadian municipalities and how N-ZAP’s new report and dataset can serve as a guide on the route to net zero. During this webinar, the database will be introduced and panelists from academic, research and municipal backgrounds will discuss the importance of municipal climate data and how this dataset can be used and further analyzed.

N-ZAP is launching a new report based on survey data collected from 256 Canadian municipalities across 10 provinces. The participating municipalities disclosed crucial information relating to local climate action planning and implementation, GHG inventories, policy interventions and stakeholder engagement initiatives. N-ZAP has also developed an open access database containing a subset of the survey responses based on the consent of the responding municipalities.
