Sustainability-Themed Assessment Design Cafe (CTE7014)

Thursday, February 16, 2023 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST

Are you interested in creating opportunities for students to learn about sustainability in your course? Join CTE staff and fellow instructors to brainstorm ideas and create a plan to incorporate sustainability into one of your own assessments.

Location: In-person- MC 2036/2036A

Facilitator: Julia Burke (Centre for Teaching Excellence) and Victoria Feth (Centre for Teaching Excellence)

We will start with a guided discussion to learn from your colleagues. We will share existing sustainability-themed assessments from across disciplines and relevant resources. CTE staff will be available to answer your questions while you work on your assessment design.

Registration required (if this is your first time using GoSignMeUp, you will need to set up your account first). If you have changed roles at the University (e.g., graduate student to faculty) please update your "Participant Profile" in your GoSignMeUp account.

Please note that this is an in-person workshop. Although masks are not required, all participants and facilitators are strongly encouraged to wear masks when participating in CTE in-person events. Masks can be removed while speaking or presenting. For more information, see the University of Waterloo's Coronavirus webpage for the most recent campus-wide guidelines.

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
