Who is involved?
The President's Advisory Committee on Environmental Sustainability is made up of a mix of staff, students, faculty, and administration. Formed in 2015, this group has led the development of two Environmental Sustainability Reports.
The Committee has also formed Academic, Operations, and Engagement Working Groups over the past year that have provided input into the development of the strategy. These working groups are made up of key staff, student, and faculty stakeholders with relevant roles and responsibilities.
What has been done?
- The Environmental Sustainability Reports provide a foundation of understanding the University's current and past performance.
- Over the past two years, the Sustainability Office has also been collecting feedback from the University community through the annual Eco-Summit, where more than 70 participants have helped provide initial feedback and direction setting.
- The development of a draft Environmental Sustainability Policy has been submitted to Executive Council for feedback, as well as Faculty, Staff, Undergraduate, and Graduate student relations committees. The policy will form a foundation for the strategy.
Where does my feedback go?
Your feedback will be combined with comments, suggestions, and input from all other participants and presented back to the President's Advisory Committee on Environmental Sustainability and its Working Groups. The feedback will help these groups develop recommended approaches as part of the Environmental Sustainability Strategy that meet various needs of the University.
