Abby works on the Sustainability Office’s sustainability integration project, which will shape frameworks and tools to integrate sustainability across undergraduate programs at the University of Waterloo. Abby is passionate about education in sustainability, having worked as a Head Instructional Assistant for first year Business courses at Wilfrid Laurier during the start of the pandemic, where she helped adapt the curriculum to an online environment.

Abby previously founded and managed a social enterprise, SheCycle, which won several pitch competitions in the Waterloo Region and internationally. As an entrepreneur, she embedded sustainability into every aspect of the business. Most recently, she worked as the Annual Giving Associate at Ecojustice, Canada’s largest environmental law charity, and as the Corporate Sustainability Manager at Loewen Design Studios, an online family business.

Abby remains active in community networks related to sustainability, including:

  • Student Member, Social Responsibility & Sustainability Alumni at University of St. Michael’s College
