BAR-01: Art-tech Installation at THEMUSEUM

Problem area

Public spaces, such as museums and art galleries, are an integral part of all cities. Research shows that public art is extremely beneficial to public health. To support this goal, we want to create an art-tech installation with the goal of using art as both a means of communicating a message and also as a way of turning the typical passive observation of art into active participation.

Main objectives

  1. Design an immersive, interactive art installation to be exhibited at THEMUSEUM
  2. Create real-time visual effects that interact with visitors as they move throughout the exhibit
  3. Use art to communicate a meaningful message pertaining to society

Scope of work

  1. Research interactive installations and projection-based digital art
  2. Develop the overall concept and desired visitor experience/interaction
  3. Build a small-scale prototype and test software and projectors
  4. Calibrate and test the final experience at THEMUSEUM
