Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo
Part of Canada's largest engineering school, the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo is home to 650 undergraduates, 200 graduate students, faculty, and staff and has thousands of alumni world-wide.
Our Graduate programs are designed to produce skilled problem solvers, leaders, and innovators able to create biomedical and biotechnology designs and devices, electrochemical energy storage devices, use nanotechnology to create advanced materials, optimize manufacturing processes and combat climate change through sustainable reaction engineering, formulate biopolymers that impact industries and improve the world.
We have research and course-based programs. Course-based programs are about building general skills and research-based programs give you an opportunity to work in research with a supervisor.
- First in the country to offer interdisciplinary research and collaborative programs in nanotechnology engineering.
