Congratulations to Professor Zhongwei Chen on being named a 2019 Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
He is one of 93 new Fellows in the Academies of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Science and 46 new members of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. He joins seven other Waterloo researchers who were honoured by the Royal Society of Canada today.
The Fellows were elected by their peers for their outstanding scholarly, scientific and artistic achievement. With his inclusion as a Fellow in the Division of Applied Sciences and Engineering within the Academy of Science, Professor Chen is being recognized for his work on next-generation battery and fuel cell technologies.
He will be formally welcomed into the Royal Society of Canada in November during its Celebration of Excellence and Engagement in Ottawa.
