CE2GA Vacant Positions

The Civil Engineering Graduate Student Association (CE2GA) invites all graduate students in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering to apply for vacant Executive and Council positions.

CE2GA is the official graduate student body within the department. It represents graduate student interests, works closely with faculty and the Graduate Student Association (GSA), and organizes academic, professional, and social activities that enrich graduate student life. Serving on CE2GA is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills, expand your professional network, and make a meaningful contribution to the graduate student community.

We strongly encourage applications from motivated MASc, PhD, and MEng students across all research areas.

Role Overview

  • VP Communications: Manages CE2GA communications, prepares meeting agendas and minutes in collaboration with the President, and designs promotional materials for events and initiatives.
  • VP External: Serves as the CE2GA representative to the Graduate Student Association (GSA), liaises with the department, and coordinates CIV Talk events.
  • VP Internal: Supports internal operations, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, venue and equipment booking, and event registrations.
  • VP Events: Oversees the planning and execution of CE2GA academic and social events and coordinates logistics with council members.
  • VP Finance: Manages CE2GA finances, including funding applications, reimbursements, and financial record-keeping to ensure transparency.
  • Structural Councillor: Represents graduate students with interests in structural engineering and supports discipline-specific initiatives.
  • Water Councillor: Represents graduate students focused on water resources engineering and supports water-related events, workshops, and initiatives.
  • Geotechnical Councillor: Acts as a liaison for geotechnical engineering graduate students and coordinates related activities.
  • Transportation Councillor: Represents transportation engineering graduate students and supports transportation-focused seminars, workshops, and events.

  7. A statement confirming that you agree to fulfill the responsibilities of the role if selected.
