Thursday, May 7, 2026

Congratulations to our students Ryan Wu, Anne Beedell, Hannah Irvine, Julie Reitsma and Maya Jina.

LikWid Assets, a student design team made up of Environmental and Geological students, has secured its place at the top once again, winning the 2025–26 Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) Student Design Competition for the second year in a row.

The annual competition, led by CWRA’s Student and Young Professionals (SYP) group, highlights innovative student solutions to real-world water resource challenges. In its second year, the competition saw a significant rise in participation, reflecting growing interest and engagement from students across the country.

LikWid Assets impressed judges with a standout design that demonstrated both technical strength and creative problem-solving. Their back-to-back win underscores the team’s consistency and leadership in tackling complex water issues.

With momentum building, CWRA says it looks forward to an even bigger and more competitive event next year.
