EMAGIN has been selected, from a global competitive field of over 180 companies across 18 countries, as one of the top 12 digital water start-ups worldwide, and has been invited to join the IH2O 2017 Data Challenge Accelerator in San Francisco.
Each year, IH2O attracts an extraordinary field of startups tackling the global water challenge who benefit from accessing the organization’s connections in the water industry and Silicon Valley. In 2016 alone, IH2O’s cohort collectively raised over $27 million from investors and secured notable customer opportunities within IH2O Beta Partners network.
EMAGIN, based out of Waterloo, and partially founded by UW engineering students, meshes computational intelligence with traditional water resource engineering to transform Canadian cities into intelligent urban ecosystems. Their aim is to make those ecosystems adaptive and resilient to the challenges of urbanization, climate change and resource scarcity.
EMAGIN will also be representing Waterloo, Ontario when they compete at the annual Water Gala competition at San Francisco, this March.
