Tuesday, September 15, 2026

A Geological Engineering capstone team from the 2025-26 cohort has been recognized by the Canadian Geotechnical Society with the Undergraduate Student Report Group Award for their St. Adolphe Ring Dike Expansion project.

The award-winning team, consisting of Teresa Pastega, Maddi Cnossen, Nikolas Dmitrovic, and Ryan Tang, was invited to attend GeoQuebec in Québec City. Ryan accepted the award on behalf of the team and had the opportunity to connect with geotechnical professionals from across the industry, including engineers involved with the real St. Adolphe Ring Dike Expansion project.

Congratulations to the team on this outstanding achievement, and thank you to Capstone Instructor, Professor Tolson as well as Professor Cascante for nominating and supporting the project.
