Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Warrior Home has successfully placed first in the 2018 U.S. Department of Energy "Race to Zero" Attached Housing Competition. This is the first time the University of Waterloo has entered the competition which makes their achievement all the more remarkable.

Race to Zero inspires students to become the next generation of building science professionals through a design challenge for zero energy buildings. Future architects, engineers, architectural engineers and construction managers are given the opportunity to generate creative solutions to clean energy and sustainability problems.

Warrior Home wishes to thank the team for their incredibly hard work, and all the industry and faculty support they received throughout this endeavour.

We hope to continue working closely with Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region to begin implementing aspects of our design in their future developments and improve the quality of affordable homes built within our local community! - the Warrior Home team
