At the University of Waterloo, undergraduate students are given the opportunity to explore diverse career pathways, create industry contacts, pay for their schooling and gain valuable real-world experience in their field, through co-operative education.
Co-op students normally spend 4 months in school followed by 4 months in a paid job relating to their program. By the time they are ready to graduate, students will have gained up to 2 years of hands-on experience in their chosen area of study.
