The Department of Classical Studies is proud to host a graduate workshop on Hellenistic and Roman Asia Minor. This international workshop will be held at the University of Waterloo from May 1-2, 2014 in EV1 221.
Besides Seleucid and Galatian topics, expect discussions relating to the Greek cities of Western Asia Minor, esp. Pergamum, and of Roman provincial rule.
Many of the presenters are students from the University of Waterloo, while about half of the other presentations will be given by MA students, PhD students and Postdocs from Germany, Italy, the UK and the US.
Registration for the workshop itself is for free, but still required.
Everyone participating at the workshop is also invited to join the conference dinner at the Mongolian Grill, though you would be asked to pay $25 as a contribution towards the cost.
