Congratulations to our own Professor Sheila Ager! Sheila will become the Dean of Arts on July 2019. She has long carried out important service roles at the University of Waterloo. Among these roles are the following: Chair of Classical Studies, Interim Chair of Fine Arts, member of Senate, member of the Board of Governors, Associate Dean, Arts, and the Director of the Academic Leadership Program. And these are just highlights! In addition to being a superb administrator, she is recognized as one of our Department's strongest teachers and mentors. And she is also an internationally recognized ancient historian with specialization in the Ptolemaic kings, queens, and incest, as well as conflict resolution and peace in antiquity. She is all around awesome and we wish her all the best in her new role.
