IPCO 2017, the flagship conference on Integer Programming and Combinatorial Optimization, was held at the University of Waterloo from June 26-28.

Professor Tom Coleman and Wei Xu's book Automatic Differentiation in MATLAB using ADMAT with Applications has been published by SIAM.

On January 18, the Faculty of Mathematics launched its 50th Anniversary Launch Celebration. The event featured stories about the Faculty's first decade from a panel chaired by Professor Steve Brown.
