C&O Professors Eric Katz and Laura Sanità are recipients of 2015 Early Researcher Awards.

Miguel Anjos has been elected as Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Professor Chris Godsil is a winner of a University of Waterloo Award of Excellence in Graduate Supervision. The award, established by the Graduate Studies Office and the Graduate Student Association, recognizes exemplary faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in graduate student supervision.

At the Spring 2015 convocation, Combinatorics and Optimization student Abbas Mehrabian was awarded a Governor General's Gold Medal for high standing academic achievement by a doctoral student.

Rutger Campbell (B.Math. 2015) is a co-winner of the fourth Jessie W.H. Zou Memorial Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research in the Faculty of Mathematics.

Professor Bill Cook will received the designation University Professor at the June 12 convocation ceremony. This designation recognizes exceptional scholarly achievement and international pre-eminence by professors at the University of Waterloo.

Professor Noga Alon will receive an honorary Doctor of Mathematics (DMath) at the June 12 convocation at the University of Waterloo.
