CataLight, a University of Waterloo social impact startup shone brightly at the 2019 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC) competing head-to-head with students from the world’s top schools like MIT, Notre Dame, Penn State and Northwestern. After three days of competition, Co-founders Ashley Keefner, Ph.D., MBET and Kevin Dang, MBET advanced to the Final Round as one of only two Canadian teams competing, defeating 35 teams in the process.

Today, 20 student venture teams will compete to win their share of $130,000 in prizes at the Spring 2018 Velocity Fund Finals. Hult Prize Waterloo Teams Update

Waterloo Hult Teams have travelled to Quito, Melbourne and Toronto to compete in Hult Prize 2018 Regional competitions. Here’s a quick update, from the teams themselves (in their own words), on how they did, and what’s next.

Manfred Conrad, notable local entrepreneur and benefactor of the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre, is being inducted to the Waterloo Region Entrepreneur Hall of Fame this evening (November 5), at a ceremony hosted by Junior Achievement (JA) Waterloo Region.

It is with great pleasure that the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre announces the appointment of Nada Basir to our faculty. We are thrilled to welcome Nada to Conrad as we expand our undergraduate programming to include the cross-campus Minor in Entrepreneurship.
