Enterprise Co-op (E Co-op) alum Humza Ahmed is building the future of home appraisals with Automax.ai, an AI-powered platform that uses computer vision and LiDAR technology to streamline the appraisal process.

Ahmed credits Waterloo’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Velocity and the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business, with providing critical support early in his journey.

Part-time Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) and Entrepreneurial PhD Fellow student Hasti Shwan has been featured in Waterloo News for his work developing GeoSafe Climate.

Hasti's work reflects the entrepreneurial mindset we foster at the Conrad School: transforming research into practical solutions that create real-world impact.

Entrepreneurship doesn't have to fit a traditional mould. For MBET alumna Divya Lala, entrepreneurship is rooted in empathy, education, and community. Through her work at the University of Waterloo and as founder of Integral Learning, Divya is helping students build confidence, discover their strengths, and succeed on their own terms.

In her Alumni Impact story, Divya reflects on personal growth, the power of diverse perspectives, the lasting influence of Professor Wayne Chang, and how MBET helped her redefine entrepreneurship as a tool for creating meaningful change.
