Our 11th annual ENVigorate festival has officially wrapped up! Through hands-on workshops, ceremonies, panels and fashion shows, the Faculty of Environment and friends from campus and community explored the theme of climate optimism.
It was a full three days with something for everyone, including community-led events like learning to make Medicine Pouches, Homemade Kombucha, DIY Shower Steamers and Beeswax Wraps. Plus, we were thrilled to have our neighbours in the Faculty of Arts join us to host a paper-making workshop and the Faculty of Science performed an immersive planetarium show inside an astro bubble where you enter, sit, watch and learn about our solar system and the unique stars and planets within it.
The ENVigorate committee’s SWAP Shop had a record-breaking year. 350 clothing items were donated and more than half found new homes. Meanwhile, our business marketplace and research showcase allowed students to share their sustainably focused wares and ideas.
ENVigorate was unforgettable this year thanks to our incredible coordinators, volunteers, faculty and everyone who participated – your energy and enthusiasm are what make this festival such a beloved part of our community. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
