The Faculty of Environment kicked off the academic year with its third annual Fall Food Truck Social on September 26, 2024, at Waterloo Park, attracting a lively crowd of students, faculty, and staff. Attendees enjoyed a wide range of delicious offerings from local food trucks while mingling and forming new connections. The event also featured the black hole experience exhibit that sparked curiosity and provided a fun, interactive element for everyone. This year’s social not only celebrated the start of the term but also reinforced the sense of community within the Faculty of Environment. 

The food truck lineup featured an enticing selection of global flavors that delighted attendees. Irie Myrie brought the vibrant tastes of the Caribbean with halal jerk chicken and vegan jerk chickpeas served in wraps. Pasado Brazil showcased Brazilian cuisine, offering halal chicken pastel with fries alongside a vegan option of fries topped with pico de gallo and a flavorful sauce. Guests also enjoyed Indian favourites from Food2Go, including vegetarian kurkure momos and halal chicken burgers served with chips. For dessert, BeaverTails provided their signature deluxe pastries, including classic cinnamon sugar (vegan and gluten-free), chocolate hazelnut, and maple. At the same time, Indulge ice cream served scoops of ice cream and Hawaiian shaved ice in various flavours, including non-dairy options. To complement the delicious food,Hitched Coffee offered a selection of warm beverages, featuring apple cider, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and iced coffee to keep everyone refreshed. This vibrant mix of food trucks not only satisfied cravings but also fostered a sense of community as attendees gathered to enjoy a festive atmosphere and connect with one another, making the event a resounding success.

Attendees were thrilled to connect with peers and faculty in a relaxed atmosphere at the Fall Food Truck Social.
