Now accepting applications for a new field course in Egypt

Calling all third and fourth year undergraduate students! Learn about water security, climate change and plastic pollution in an exciting hands-on learning opportunity this spring in Egypt!

  • Dates: June 4 - August 7, 2026
  • Approximate cost: All costs associated with this program are covered by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship. All travel, accommodation, and meals are paid for as part of the program, making this opportunity more accessible. That said, if students wish to purchase additional items, such as souvenirs, they will need to use their personal funds.
  • Earn credits: ENVS 476C (1.5 units) and SCI 300 (0.5 units)
  • Application deadline: Spots are open to Environment students until December 1, 2025. Express your interest by emailing beyondb@uwaterloo.ca.
