Geography Awareness Week (GAW)
This year’s theme is “The New Age of Exploration” reminding us that “geography enables us all to be intrepid explorers in our own way”. This coincides with the National Geographic Society’s 125th birthday.
GIS Day is a global event to educate people about how geography makes a difference in our lives through the technology of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The Cryospheric Science Group of the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) is pleased to announce the monthly Cryosphere Research Group Seminar Series given by Dr. Kevin Kang, “Development and evaluation on ice phenology algorithm from space-borne active and passive microwave measurements” and Ali Perviz Muhammad “Monitoring ice break-up on the Mackenzie River, Canada, from MODIS Aqua and Terra observations.” Any member of the Faculty of Environment is welcome to attend!
