The statistical software, SAS, is available to faculty and staff on the IST Webstore. SAS is now centrally funded so there is no charge to faculty and staff.

The IST-hosted individual user network drive (N: drive - fileu) service will no longer be offered. Content must be migrated to OneDrive by April 30, 2023.
What is happening? Microsoft Teams site owners may receive an email notification if no activity is detected across their site in the last 14 months (426 days). Site owners should evaluate whether the site is required or if the site should be deleted.
When will the email notifications begin? March 8, 2023. If the site owner does not take any action following the initial notification, two reminder notifications will be sent at an interval of 7 days.
What do I need to do?
What is happening? Microsoft has introduced “Teams Premium”. Some existing features of Teams (typically unused or rarely used by our clients) will now require a Teams Premium license. This does not apply to Teams Live events.
When will Teams Premium be available? Beginning Friday, March 3, 2023, though availability varies by feature.
What is the impact? The following Teams features will require a Teams Premium license:
The February 2023 IT Review Interim Report is now available for review. This report offers an update on the status and actions being taken to support the advancement of recommendations for each major theme and "other" categorization identified in the 2020 IT Review final report. The document identifies timelines for tasks/action items, other ideas being discussed within the working groups (lead by the co-leads), and cross-theme connections.
Project background
The IT Review, conducted between April 2019 and May 2020, was launched to assess the University of Waterloo's overall IT capability. The result of this work was captured in the Campus Information Technology Review Final Report (PDF) and included a number of recommendations for building on and enhancing Waterloo's IT landscape.
